Cheers to the timeless bond shared by Campari, Negroni, and bartenders around the world.

Welcome to the 11th edition of Negroni Week, taking place from September 18th to 24th, 2023.

Campari, the iconic Italian liqueur brand, collaborates with the American bar culture magazine 'Imbibe' for the charity event 'Negroni Week' happening from September 18th to 24th, 2023.

Negroni Week is an initiative where participating establishments promote Negroni cocktails and donate a portion of their proceeds to charitable organizations, playing a significant role in social responsibility efforts. Since its inception, the number of participating venues has grown from an initial 100 to approximately 12,000 worldwide, spanning over 80 countries, resulting in over 4 million US dollars (approximately 590 million yen) in donations and expanding every year. In recent years, Japan has also shown great enthusiasm, with 165 participating venues in 2023. For the 11th edition in 2023, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Slow Food Association, which was established in Italy in 1989 and addresses various food-related challenges. Enjoy this week of worldwide Negroni celebration!

■ 'Negroni' with Campari Wins World's No. 1 Spot for the Second Consecutive Year

In the 'The World’s Best Selling Classic Cocktails' ranking by the British beverage magazine 'Drinks International,' the iconic Italian cocktail 'Negroni' made with Campari has claimed the top spot for two consecutive years in 2022 and 2023.

'The World’s Best Selling Classic Cocktails' is based on a survey of the top 100 bars worldwide, known for receiving prestigious awards, and ranks the best-selling cocktails at these establishments. The classic Italian aperitif 'Negroni' is featured in the IBA's 'Unforgettable Drinks List,' known as the bartender's bible, and Campari is the only brand listed as the official ingredient.

This cocktail combines equal parts Campari, sweet vermouth (Vermouth Rosso), and London dry gin, perfectly balancing these three ingredients. It features juniper and sweet citrus aromas mixed with the flavors of spices and herbs, with a distinctive lingering bitter finish. After a century, it continues to be loved around the world.

■ About 'Campari'

【A Vibrant Red Color and a Unique Bittersweet Flavor of Premium Italian Liqueur】

Campari was born in 1860. Its founder, Gaspare Campari, opened 'Café Campari' in a corner of Milan's Piazza del Duomo in 1867, shortly after its establishment. Right from the start, this liqueur, with its subtly sweet and pleasantly bitter taste, became a sensation among the people of Milan. Soon, Campari's name spread not only in Milan but also throughout various regions of Italy. Campari, known for its vibrant red color, sophisticated aromas of oranges and herbs, and its distinctive bittersweet taste, has captivated many. Even after more than 160 years since its inception, the closely guarded recipe remains unchanged, and its rich aroma and bitter taste continue to be used in numerous cocktails worldwide, serving as the perfect base.
