The premium event "CAMPARI RED NIGHT in Hakone Rikyu" by Campari and Exclusively Hakone Rikyu has been confirmed!

The champion of Campari-hosted cocktail competition will be offering a special, one-night-only cocktail inspired by Hakone.

Italian liqueur brand "Campari," presented by CT Spirits Japan (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President: Tetsu Abe), is collaborating with the exclusive members-only resort hotel "Exclusively Hakone Rikyu," located in Hakone Miyanoshita, a representative hot spring area in Japan, under the concept of "Noble & Luxurious Palace." Together, they will host the premium event "CAMPARI RED NIGHT in Hakone Rikyu" on January 28, 2024 (Sunday).

On the day of the event, Mr. Kohji Esashi, the champion of "Campari Group Cocktail Grand Prix 2022," and Mr. Naoto Ogawa, the Japan champion of "CAMPARI Cocktail Competition Asia 2018" and the current Brand Ambassador for Campari Group, will be providing the winning cocktails from their respective competitions and special, limited-edition cocktails inspired by Hakone.

Please indulge in the premium cocktails crafted by Japan's top bartenders while surrounded by the majestic nature of Hakone.

■ Profile of Mr. Kohji Esashi

Owner/Bartender of SPIRITS BAR Sunface SHINJUKU
With a bartending career spanning 22 years, this individual opened the bar "SPIRITS BAR Sunface" in 2011 with a concept centered around spirits. Having achieved accolades in various cocktail competitions, they have served as a seminar instructor and contributed to the launch of their own spirits brand. Through these efforts, they have played a crucial role in advancing the spirits industry in Japan.

■ Profile of Mr. Naoto Ogawa

Born in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. After studying abroad in New Zealand and Australia, they underwent training as a bartender at the long-established Bar elixir de longue vie in Kobe. With a history of winning various cocktail competitions, they became the Japan champion at the CAMPARI Cocktail Competition Asia 2018. They represented Japan at the Asian competition held in Milan. Subsequently, they started their activities as the official brand ambassador for Campari Group in Japan. In addition to training and cocktail development for Campari Group brands, including Campari, they also engage in guest bartending at bars both domestically and internationally.

In the summer of 2022, they were invited as a guest bartender to "Schumann's Bar," run by the globally renowned "legendary bartender" Charles Schumann, located in Munich, Germany. Their delicate yet well-balanced flavors were highly praised even overseas.

Once a place where prominent figures from politics, business, and the literary world sought respite, the prestigious Exclusively Hakone Rikyu was established in 2010 in Miyanoshita, Hakone, with a commitment to inheriting history and tradition.
