"From Field to Glass" Single Estate Whisky made from Glenmorangie's barley
MHD Moët Hennessy Diageo K.K. (located in Kanda-Jinbocho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) will release the fourth edition of the Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky "Glenmorangie Cadboll Estate 15-Year-Old," a single estate whisky made exclusively from their own barley, in limited quantities starting Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
We are pleased to announce the release of the fourth edition of the Glenmorangie Cadboll Estate 15-Year-Old, a single estate whisky made exclusively from barley grown on our own farm. This edition uses barley harvested in 2007. To achieve the perfect maturation of this soft spirit, we hand-carved select American white oak, air-dried it, and seasoned it with bourbon to create designer casks, in which the whisky was aged for 15 years. The result is a creamy, silky, and rich flavor profile with honeyed sweetness and refreshing notes of apricot and pear.
The Cadboll Estate series represents the “From Field to Glass” philosophy, as it is crafted solely from the precious barley grown at Glenmorangie’s Cadboll Estate. The Cadboll Estate is a picturesque rural area located near the distillery on the Easter Ross Peninsula, nestled between the Moray Firth and the Dornoch Firth in the Scottish Highlands. It boasts expansive skies, endless barley fields, and beautiful, seasonally changing coastlines. Dr. Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie’s Director of Distilling, Whisky Creation & Whisky Stocks, envisioned the Cadboll Estate series to widely convey the essence of Glenmorangie's homeland through single estate whisky. This batch is a small-batch production, using barley from only eight fields, covering 26 hectares out of Glenmorangie’s 440-acre farm.
By aging the whisky in bourbon casks for 15 years, the Glenmorangie Cadboll Estate 15-Year-Old Fourth Edition elevates the creamy richness unique to single estate whisky to new heights. As a series that allows you to enjoy the distinctive flavors of Glenmorangie year by year, why not start your collection with this exceptional release?
