Designed by Yukio Hashimoto, this luxurious hotel features 26 rooms, each with an ocean view and an open-air bath. During the Valentine's period, they offer a special cocktail crafted with the hotel's original authentic sweet potato shochu, "Goto Imo Tsubaki Kobo," as a base. A small luxury hotel with 7 all-suite rooms, Setouchi Retreat Aonagi, was born through the renovation of a renowned architectural masterpiece that had previously been partially open to the public as an art museum. Supervised by the architect Tadao Ando, the renovation was completed in December 2015. The hotel embraces the concept of "Minimal Luxury," offering refined spaces designed by Ando, adorned with art pieces throughout the premises.
