The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo's bar, located on the 45th floor, will host a one-night-only 'Bartender Takeover' event on October 25, 2023, featuring Mr. Kentaro Sato, Group General Manager of Singapore's 'D.Bespoke,' which has been nominated for 'Asia's 50 Best Bars' for eight consecutive years.
This event, which has been held approximately once a month since last year and has received great support from many customers, will also offer cocktails that shone in the top 3 of the 'Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition 2017,' providing a unique and exclusive experience with original cocktails and performances that can only be enjoyed on-site.
In this 13th edition of the event, Mr. Kentaro Sato, who won the Japan competition and achieved a top 3 position in the world competition at the 'Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition 2017,' will be providing four special cocktails, including the Bacardi-based cocktail 'Mariel.'

The cocktail that won the Japan competition at the 'Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition 2017' and achieved a top 3 position in the world competition. Inspired by the Cuban port town of "Mariel," where Bacardi Rum was born, and the cocktail "Yokohama," which originated in Yokohama, the birthplace of Japanese bar culture and Mr. Sato's hometown. This signature cocktail is based on Bacardi 8 and offers a tropical and elegant taste.
Ingredients: Bacardi 8, coconut water, fresh orange juice, honey, absinthe, cinnamon powder.

About Mr. Kentaro Sato, Group General Manager of D.Bespoke
Born and raised in Yokohama, the birthplace of Japanese bar culture, Mr. Kentaro Sato has over 25 years of experience as a bartender. In 2008, he opened 'Bar Day Cocktail' in Yokohama Kannai. He has built a reputation through various cocktail competitions and achieved victory in the Japan competition of the Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition in 2017, securing a top-three spot in the world finals. Following his success, he expanded his career overseas and joined the D.Bespoke group in Singapore in 2019, led by his longtime friend and bartender, Mr. Taiki Kanetaka. In his role as Group General Manager, he is actively involved in day-to-day bartending, mentoring young bartenders, and serving as a judge for guest bartenders and cocktail competitions across various Asian countries.
D.Bespoke, established in 2014 in Singapore, operates under the concept of "Taking Japanese Bars to the World More than Japan." It aims to incorporate Japan's exceptional bar culture, including Japanese bartending, into the global scene. While rooted in the "CLASSIC" approach, D.Bespoke has also ventured into collaborations with artisans of Japanese traditional craftsmanship, restaurants, fashion brands, musicians, and more, exploring new possibilities in the world of bars. Mr. Kentaro Wada, who honed his skills as a mixologist in a bar in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, and at a live house in New Zealand, returned to Japan and joined The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo in July 2012.
Wada, with a track record of representing Japan and winning numerous world competitions, including 'The Chivas Masters 2018,' is known for his visually captivating cocktails. His creations have a distinct flair and charm that captivate guests from around the world.
