Origin of the name Saki Glass

The word ``bloom'' has the meaning of blooming, and the name was chosen as a perfect match for the desire to create a glass that would allow the aroma of the whiskey to bloom. Kazunori Shizuya

Born in 1985. Born in Tochigi Prefecture. During his time at Sakushin Gakuin High School, he participated in the Inter-High School and National Athletic Meet as a race walker. From his days at Kokushikan University, he worked in the apparel industry before becoming a bartender. He is the owner and bartender of two stores in Shinjuku, Tokyo: "BAR Shinjuku Whiskey Salon" and "BAR LIVET." He ranked Shinjuku Whiskey Salon on his list of ``World's Best Bars in Tokyo in 2020''. In 2019, he became the youngest person in history to receive the Master of Whiskey title, the most difficult qualification recognized by the Whiskey Culture Research Institute. In addition, he continues to study whiskey every day, achieving 1st place nationally in 3 classes of whiskey certification. Through the development of whiskey-based cocktails (Whisktail - registered trademark), we are exploring ways to make whiskey more familiar to a wide range of people and have entered the CT Spirits Japan Cocktail Competition 2021. Wins Japan Cocktail Champion with Whisktail [Shared Memory - Memories of Two People], which uses single malt and Glen Grant. In recent years, in 2023, Shinjuku Whiskey Salon was awarded "The Bar World of Tomorrow", an award to determine the most sustainable bar in 11 cities around the world.
