This gold plated shaker is made by Akagawa utensil manufacture, which has a history of over 70 years in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, one of the best metalworking towns in Japan. The top and strainer are well fitted and of excellent Japanese quality for ease of use. The stainless steel is a little thicker and heavier than other shakers, giving you a sense of stability.
