ABOUT THIS TOOL
About this product
A BIRDY. bar spoon. Charcoal Edition uses an electrochemical process to thicken the oxide film to approximately 0.4μm. This reduces reflected light, producing a lustrous deep black without paint or coloring, while improving resistance to wear and corrosion. Stirring gradually wears the black oxide film on the back of the spoon, exposing the stainless steel beneath. To preserve the appearance, the back is repolished in the final process and supplied in silver.
